Every construction project begins with an idea, and the idea or the conception behind a particular project requires thoughtful consideration. The planning and design phase is critical to the construction project because it lays the foundation for project implementation. It involves an in-depth explanation of the project, with timelines and milestones established according to the project's scope and goals. Planning also involves estimating, outlining, and approving a budget.
The construction phase sees all the materials prepared being used to bring blueprints to reality. The work carried out during this phase will determine the quality of the project once it's completed. Here we collaborate with relevant parties to ensure every aspect of the project is completed according to plan, working according to a timeline and schedule.
After construction, we enter the Commissioning phase, in which we educate client and occupants about the new project features. For example, if we built a new building for an office, then we would hold a commissioning meeting for the people who worked at the office space and the office administration. We conduct two types of commissioning: Vertical commissioning includes the state legislature issuing a certificate of occupancy that lets the client take ownership of the project. Horizontal commissioning includes any miscellaneous items that do not occur in vertical commissioning.
Our project closeout phase is primarily an internal review of our overall project efficiency. We host project meetings with our team leads, managers, and contractors to identify areas to improve. We also highlight project strengths that we plan to implement in the future.
